Book Compartment Tables are built with the same quality techniques as the plain apron table. They are finished with a chemical resistant, earth-friendly UV finish. These tables have either two or four book compartments (depending on size) installed in the apron. The book compartments measure 14" W x 13-5/8"D x 3-7/8"H. The table has a weight capacity of 500 lbs. On tables 72"W or over, we recommend ordering with leg braces and stretchers. (Shipped KD with tops attached)

The 11 gauge steel tabletop support tabs and corner brackets fuse as one with 4 heavy-duty tamper-free Loctite hex screws. The adjustable height steel legs feature a supreme dual connection. The (12 gauge) leg-base is fastened to the tabletop with 4 heavy-duty screws which gets inserted into the frame using a strong welded hangar bolt. Legs connect to the frame corner brackets with industrial-grade nylon-insert lock nuts. The legs adjust in 1” increments and are locked firmly in place with 2 K-9 external tooth lock washers and heavy duty tamper-free hex screws. All legs come standard with simple-adjust glides with optional casters. The Chemical Resistant table top provides the ideal surface for lab experiments. Legs and aprons are constructed of solid red oak, and are smoothly machined. They are finished with a chemical resistant, earth-friendly UV finish. Aprons are constructed of solid red oak and are 13/16"Dx4-1/2"H with heavy-duty 13-gauge steel corner braces. 2-1/4" square solid oak legs, with 5/16" hanger bolts installed, are attached to apron with nuts and washers supplied. All tables are equipped with non-skid adjustable glides for precise leveling and for prevention of rocking on uneven floors. Tables are supplied with black rubber leg boots which offer protection against scuffing and chemical spills. Standard table height is 30" with a weight capacity of 500 lbs. The NPS SLT Science Lab Tables with Book Compartments have "perfect chemistry" with any science classroom. These paragons of endurance are built with solid ash framework, side panels and legs beneath a thick "Chem-Res" tabletop with a MDF Core. The work surface is of solid black, firmly secured, high-pressure laminate, resistant to water and 13 commonly-used laboratory chemicals. Includes two storage compartments with the option of concealment with the included side-panel aprons. Robust legs are spot-welded to the frame with metal-on-metal double-bolts on 13-gauge steel corner braces for maximal strength and durability. Feet are outfitted with rubber liquid-protective boots and adjustable glides for accurate floor leveling. The SLT meets MAS Certified Green environmental industrial standards.
